Roy, we do not allow at this time the import of transaction activity in csv format since brokers do not adhere to a single standardized format - that is why we use OFX for transaction imports.

Thanks Matt,

It appears you can download a .CSV file of transaction during the portfolio setup and that you just adjust the column headers to the data required.  Not clear if it works for transaction downloads at portfolio setup why it would work for transaction downloads after the portfolio is already setup?

Is it possible to convert the .CSV file of transaction the broker provides to a QFX file that I can down load to IAM? - Roy

Roy,

Yes, we have had other users tell us they have found such tools on the internet, and converted .csv to ofx for import into IAM.

I too wanted to do this a while back but haven't found any tool that does this well. I'd like to know too if someone has any suggestion.

Roy, wanted to followup on this question.  Our latest update of Investment Account Manager (now v3.1.4) includes the ability to import transaction data in a csv file. Users can now import a transaction file in csv format when creating a new portfolio, or for appending newer activity to an existing portfolio.
